I haven’t been updating here as much recently because 1. I have been quite busy with weddings and 2. my family and I have been soaking in some good news. We are expecting baby #2!! We are very excited and feel very blessed. We wanted our kids to be close in age and I was crossing my fingers that I wouldn’t be pregnant during wedding season and I couldn’t be more thankful! So to answer some questions…. was this a huge surprise and shock? Nope, not really! :) Will I still be photographing weddings and sessions? Yes! I have been photographing weddings since I’ve been pregnant and everything has gone great. (I will not be photographing weddings during the last couple couple of months of pregnancy at the beginning of next year, however. ) Wow, but you are so young? ;) Yes, and we married young. So far we’ve kind of gone against the grain. God has His perfect timing and plan for everyone!

Well, my short blog break is now over! It was so nice to step away for a bit. And now, my blog has a new name as well as a new look!! :) I’ve  been wanting to change the name for a while now, but I knew that it would take a good amount of time, etc. Thankfully, the switch wasn’t too bad and almost everything has transferred! Since google friend connect is now gone for WordPress sites,  a good way to follow this blog is through Bloglovin’. You can also subscribe through the link at the top of this page for rss, google reader, etc. Anywho, I’m SO glad I finally switched the name and this blog is now an extension of my website. I will be still be posting sessions here as well as personal….a little bit of both.

In “celebration” of this new look & name I will be giving away an Instax Mini Camera with one pack of instant film. (I have an instax camera and LOVE it!)

so the past couple of weeks i have taken a little break from blogging. a break and a bridal show. i’ve been kind of stuck in a rut lately and i would love to blame it on the fact that i am quite frankly, done with winter and ready for a new season. ;) (summer please come soon!) i could also blame it on the fact that we don’t really have internet at our house, just sometimes i am lucky and the little wireless icon pops up and wallah! we have internet. so when we do have it, i am usually emailing or uploading galleries.

but it has been nice…it has been refreshing to step away for a while. lately, i have been learning, reading, listening to audrey assad’s new album over and over. (love it!)  not to mention, last week i was busy getting ready for a bridal show which was wonderful! i know that some photographers have their own opinions about bridal shows and the cliche’ that they may have. as well as if they work, if they don’t , etc. all i can say is that it was wonderful being able to set up a booth that was me- my brand, my style and meet some lovely brides-to-be. i was able to connect with other vendors which is sometimes hard to do when you are a shy person like myself. i handed out promo cards, my mac was running a slideshow, and i also had a sample album as well as other visuals on display. so did i enjoy it? personally, yes! it was a lot of hard work and quite the investment but it was so worth it. my dad and jay came with me as well for part of the time.

so excited about this kelly moore bag giveaway mainly because i love the kelly moore bag that i have! it has been SUCH a lifesaver while shooting sessions and weddings!! before, i was carrying around a huge camera bag and by the end of the day, my shoulders would kill! then i found these wonderful camera bags, and i am so thankful! while shooting weddings, i take a large camera bag with me and then i wear my grey kelly moore classic bag while shooting. i can easily fit 3-4 lenses in my bag, along with cf cards, a flash, my keys, etc. it is so easy to switch out lenses especially when i am in a hurry! i have heard of others using these bags for diaper bags or for a different type business (not only photography.) the best part is that these bags look professional and they definitely are. i love them!!

I just wanted to thank you so much for all of your feedback and kind comments on my last post. While I have not been posting as much here the last month or so I have been busy working on some things. One of those things is my  new website. I have also moved all of my photography blog posts over to this blog and will be posting all future sessions on here! (As well as my personal posts.) There is still some to be updated around here but for the most part, it’s finished. Woohoo! Anywho, just wanted to say thank you and I am excited to have some free time to start reading and visiting some of my favorite blogs again. Much love to you all!
