last weekend, i surprised my husband for his birthday and took him to the smokey mountains. we rented a cabin for one night and went hiking! my mom watched the little one which is always a huge blessing! it was a lot of fun and a nice little getaway.
we visited old historic cabins…
the wildlife was beautiful…
we saw quite a few bears…
then we got dressed up and went out to dinner! we drove around and i took a couple of pictures. the scenery was too pretty…
i also made a little video of us and our goofy selves from the trip…
now this weekend, we are catching up on things…cleaning…drinking coffee…you know, things like that :) did you do anything exciting this weekend? hope you have a beautiful week!

Ah, the mountains. I’m convinced that we both should move there….yes…it was revealed to me in a dream. Haha. Just kidding. It would be nice though. That area is so beautiful. The pictures by the old barn are gorgeous too!

We just moved to Texas and we miss the mountains SO much. My husband and I have both lived our whole lives in Nevada and California.. surrounded by mountains. I think for our next trip we will definitely have to find some.

My husband, two girls and I spent the weekend in Niagara Falls. We were just saying how we need a getaway just the two of us though. We haven’t gone away just the two of us since before our daughter was born, 3 years ago almost!

Awww, fun! Sunday through Wednesday Leala and I had the privilege of going up to our church’s Christian camp in the San Bernardino mountains with my husband to be counselors for our jr. highers. Being asked to go when I have a toddler and am 7 months pregnant was a surprise and I saw what God can do with a willing heart. We LOVE getting to serve as a family and Leala helps make it possible for us to do it! I’ve been meaning to get around to blogging about it. It’s only made Facebook headlines [laughs].
