Jesus, help me to see beauty in the mundane because today, I don’t see it. Help me to see that this ordinary day is a gift from you, and may I not waste it. You have given me a purpose and you have a plan for my life even when I don’t always understand it. I’m walking on this path you have laid out for me, knowing full well that you are leading me every step of the way. I don’t want to take these ordinary days for granted, but instead embrace them and live them out the best that I can. Help me to see Your grace in these quiet times, the moments that no one sees. And may I see the small things more fully, knowing they are all working together for a purpose. A higher purpose. Thank you for this ordinary day. May I treasure it and see your glory in and through it, because it is a gift.

I wish I could frame those words, so timely for me.

So good of you to share your honesty with others….I think we all have those days, and yet we know better, that life is not “mondane”….Believe me the older you get the more precious it becomes….Don’t get me wrong,,,,mondane days still hit me in the face LOL But realizing that i have more days behind me than I’ll probably have ahead of me is a daily awakening for me to be thankful for today and each moment! Thank you for this. As a stay-at-home mom I can totally relate. I love my job and how I am so very thankful for the gifts and opportunities God has given me, but it is easy to get caught up with this.

These are beautiful words to match a beautiful image. It’s amazing how the mundane days pass so quickly, propelling us into the next season, then into the next year. It seems impossible to savor it all!
