stillness.

“Winter, a lingering season, is a time to gather golden moments, embark upon
a sentimental journey, and enjoy every idle hour.”
John Boswell

“Whenever there is stillness there is the still small voice, God’s speaking from the whirlwind, nature’s old song…”
Annie Dillard

“Be still and know that I am God…”
Psalm 46:10

This winter, I’m learning to appreciate being still, unhurried, and resting in His love.  Sometimes it’s easier to keep my self “busy” but when I take the time to rest in the quiet, I am able to learn and grow much more than when I am preoccupied by the everyday. I used to think winter was such a drab  and dull season, but now…I’m beginning to see the beauty of it.

I absolutely love this. Those horses are so beautiful. And the red barn in all that white, gorgeous. These definitely evoke the feeling of wanting to be still.

Gorgeous images. If I didn’t know better I’d think they were taken right here in New England.
