“Winter, a lingering season, is a time to gather golden moments, embark upon
a sentimental journey, and enjoy every idle hour.” John Boswell
“Whenever there is stillness there is the still small voice, God’s speaking from the whirlwind, nature’s old song…”
Annie Dillard
“Be still and know that I am God…”
Psalm 46:10
This winter, I’m learning to appreciate being still, unhurried, and resting in His love. Sometimes it’s easier to keep my self “busy” but when I take the time to rest in the quiet, I am able to learn and grow much more than when I am preoccupied by the everyday. I used to think winter was such a drab and dull season, but now…I’m beginning to see the beauty of it.

i just love snow, and we haven’t had enough of it in new england this year and last year’s winters! we moved here from atlanta, so you’d think i’d be tired of the cold by now. but snow is just such a beautiful reminder of the clean covering of christ’s sacrifice.
