Dear Leland,
It’s just the two of us right now. Well, daddy too…but while he is at work, it’s just you and I. But not for too much longer. You don’t know it quite yet but soon you will be an older brother. There will be a smaller one just like you, who will spend time with us during the day too. I know you’re going to be an amazing helper and you will keep your brother laughing and smiling and entertain him pretty well. You can teach him all you know about football ;) …about colors and shapes, and even teach him your favorite songs. The days of just the two of us are coming to an end but it’s ok- because God has such a good gift that He’s given us- and I can’t wait for you to meet him! It seems like yesterday you were the one I brought home, so tiny and small. The last two years have passed so quickly and I have enjoyed them so much. You keep me smiling on bad days and are God’s reminder to me that it’s the small things in life that matter most. You are a gift. I love you, little man!
